They've been around so long that they probably should be called Middle-Aged Titans. The Teen Titans were introduced by DC Comics in 1964. Originally Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad, three teen sidekicks of grown-up heroes, made up the first group. The membership changed and expanded over the years. In the 1980s, as the New Teen Titans, they became one of the most popular groups in comics. Writer Bob Haney and artist Bruno Premiani were responsible for the original team, Marv Wolfman and George Perez for the new, improved bunch.
